Terms and Conditions
- Participation in the course is deemed to have been agreed when the participation fee has been paid and after we have sent a personal confirmation email to the participant.
- The course participant provides the Charité Institute of Radiology with his/her personal data to the extent requested and agrees that his/her data may be stored for the purpose of organizing the course. The Institute of Radiology undertakes to use the personal data of the course participants exclusively internally, for the purpose of issuing the official certificate for successful course participation and for contacting them for subsequent scientific evaluation. Personal data will not be passed on to third parties.
- Course participation can be canceled up to 30 working days before the start of the course. If a cancellation is made at this time, an administration fee of €50 will be charged and the remaining registration fee will be refunded. Cancellations must always be made in writing. Cancellations up to 15 working days before the course will be refunded 50% of the registration fee. In the event of a later cancellation or no-show at the event or premature termination of participation, no refund will be made.
- The reduced price for doctors in training will only be granted if a certificate issued by their own clinic and signed by the head physician is sent in promptly. This certificate must identify the participant as a doctor in training.
- Reduced prices tied to participation in other events may be available. Participants who register for these events but fail to attend will not be eligible for the reduced fees and must pay the full course fee.
- The Institute of Radiology reserves the right to postpone or cancel courses for reasons for which it is not responsible, e.g. illness of lecturers, failure to reach the required number of participants, etc. The registered participant will be informed in writing at least two weeks before the scheduled start of the course. The Institute of Radiology will endeavour to offer alternative dates. The participant is free to attend one of the alternative dates offered or to have the participation fee already paid refunded. If no alternative course date can be offered, the participation fee will be refunded in full. Further claims on the part of the participant, in particular claims for damages of any kind, are excluded.
- Participation in the workshop is only possible if the course fee has been paid in full to the designated account of Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin by the start of the course. Payment by EC card or in cash is not possible.
- In the case of payments from foreign banks or credit institutions, any bank charges incurred shall be borne in full by the participant.
- After full participation in the course and successful completion of the proof of knowledge, the participant receives a certificate. Participants who fail to attend designated courses may be excluded from the certificate of knowledge.
- The certificate will only be handed over in person and not to third parties. If a participant is no longer present when the certificate of attendance is handed over, the certificate of attendance will be sent in writing. This also applies if the course fees are not credited to the Charité account until after completion of the course. A fee of €15.00 will be charged for this additional administrative work, which must be paid by bank transfer before the certificate is sent.
- Duplicates of the certificate will only be issued retrospectively upon written request (also by fax or e-mail). A fee of € 35.00 will be charged for issuing a duplicate, which must be paid by bank transfer before the certificate is sent.
- The Institute of Radiology is not liable for the loss or theft of items brought by participants.
- All courses are conducted according to the current state of science and technology. The Institute of Radiology accepts no liability for information provided or the utilisation of acquired knowledge.
- Should one or more provisions of these terms and conditions be or become invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
